How I Alienated my Grandma wins the Storylines Tom Fitzgibbon award for a junior fiction novel by an unpublished author. The award was presented at the Margaret Mahy day in Auckland on 29 March 2014. Very exciting! The award comes with an offer of publication by Scholastic New Zealand.
